**Happy Mom’s Day, all you Mothers** **Soapy** - I am no longer dealing with that realtor at all. Some things he said seemed fishy and things he told me last week contradicted things he’d said back in October when this whole mess started. I am now dealing with a realtor who is friends with a cow orker, so she’s not going to completely disappear once this is over. Anyway - this house is still for sale. Are you sure you don’t want to buy it and take me on as a tenant? 😉 ---

Good morning and Happy Mother’s Day as applicable! 😃 I had a good, long sleep broken by a couple of potty visits, but I zonked back out, so it was a good night. \*\*FCD \*\*is still in bed - he was just totally worn out from all his traveling of late - poor baby. And he’s got to go back to Johnstown on Tues… ☹ I brought a bunch of plants back from my mom’s and they need to be put in the ground. We’re threatened with rain tomorrow and Tues, so I hope to get them all in today. We shall see. Other than that, no plans, except maybe to avoid all restaurants. It will be insane today. And now, the caffeine! 😃 ---

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers and those who have mother roles out there! We had a great time at our friends’ place last night. The weather was gorgeous and while in the sun, especially playing badminton, it sometimes became uncomfortably hot. We shared lots of laughs and good food too. ---

A **VERY HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY** to all mothers! Good vibes and get well wishes to those of you out there who need 'em. I fixed a Cajun stew last night, and it was good; served with cornbread. YUM! I am missing my mother very much today - for some reason, May is an iffy month for me, I don’t know exactly why. But last May I did spend 6 days in the hospital, so maybe that has something to do with it. I am doing okay but still just take it one day at a time. Hope everyone enjoys Mother’s Day and Sunday as well. 🙂 ---

For some reason he doesn’t go after it on the floor, but the ceilings & walls are the funnest things ever. Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!!! ---

Prednisone sucks. I had a bad flare of sciatica lat week, so I call the doc, and he puts me on prednisone. I’ve been manic, exhausted, restless, lethargic, no appetite, famished, and the hallucinations and out of mind or out of body experiences have been worthy of another book entirely. So far, I dreamed that I deleted the mainframe at work, and there was this Time that dandelions in the back yard were about to eat me, but I held them off by throwing the dishwasher at them. If prednisone does so much weird and bad atuff to people, why is it still on the market? ---

Howdy Y’all I’m home! I drove home in and out of downpours. ICK! However, I am now safely ensconsed in da cave. I’s also tahrd! **gotti** I’m told prednisone can do magic but, like you, I can’t help but think are the side effects worth it. I’ve also heard it makes people blow up like a balloon. Ummm… no thanks. ---

It’s like House and his Vicoden “It allows me to do my job” and the rest of my life. I do take Calcium and D every day, and so far my bone density has not been affected. Back from new (to me, anyway) Pan-Asian/whetever-the-heck-the chef-thinks-of-including buffet. Usually $12.95 per; on Mothers’ Day, $13.95 per; Boy, are they gonna clean up today - we went early-ish to avoid the crowds (which we didn’t but we were seated right away); when we left, the line was around the block. The food is good, and you can tell it’s fresh. A solid 4 on a scale of 5. ---

I talked to OYKW a few minutes ago. He’s still over in West Alabammy as he’s not comin’ back until tomorrow. He said his mom had a great Mother’s Day with lots of food and presents. Good for her. He told me that he has been so stuffed all weekend to please not have a huge meal waitin’ on him. Ain’t that just pitiful! 😃 I agree though since I have also consumed mass quantities over the past two days. So, I took some boneless chikin boobs out of da freezer to thaw overnight and marinate all day tomorrow. I’ll throw 'em on the grill and slice 'em up over a nice sallit. That’ll make for an easy and sorta light dindin for tomorrow. While I was in da freezer (ok, not _in_ the freezer literally, just had the door open) I took out a beast roast, a poke tenderloin, and some more chikin to use as dindins this week. I’m thinkin’ a pot roast, grilled poke tenderloin and chikin ‘n rice shall also make appearances this week. Look at me all plannin’ ahead! ---

Just had the yummiest chicken kebabs (fom Costco- really good) for dinner. Nom nom. Went shopping today for clothes for the interview- dress, sweater, bras, nylons, hair doodles, trench coat, all that. Yikes, I’m nervous! ---

\ Well, what a fucking weekend. Earlier this week I was asked if I would care to go to Madison Square Garden for game 7 of the Capitials. I said yes but I didn’t want to - I like watching the sport, I don’t like covering it. It’s a pain in the ass. Later I was told because it would be a 7 day week for me I was not to go but instead I would cover someone else’s shift (which I preferred). Making a long story short, Saturday night, live shot @11 at a bar full of people watching the game, drunken people, 4" knife drops to reporter’s feet, much angst. Cops called, no arrests. Today is my day off. Housework, anger, drunkeness. Discovery that Papa Johns still has a “Ravens Playoff Special” on. $25 for 2 pizzas, breadsticks and a 2L soda. Yay me. I could go on all day about the shit newsies go through. I’ll tell stories if anyone cares but I don’t want to make a scene. I know we don’t have it as bad as others, but we are also pretty helpless. In fact I was overjoyed to see how cheap pepper spray and tasers were on eBay… Happy mother fucking Mother’s Day… ---

At lest the knife dropped to your feet, rather than to your navel, starting at the xiphoid. Minor yay for the otherwise shit-flecked craptastic prednisone-fueled weekend - went to the grocery store to get a frozen pizza for dinner. We were both very unenthused and in no mood to cook. It rang up at an unexpectedly high price. I ask the cashier, saying it’s supposed to be two for $11. They go check, and it turns out someone forgot to pull last week’s tags. Thanks to their scanned price guarantee, our main course was free.
