My husband sings in the shower every morning, no matter his mood. I think that for him, it’s like coffee and smoking (for smokers). After I quit, I had a really hard time drinking coffee without smoking. Drink coffee, have a smoke. For him, get in the shower, belt out some classic rock.
Before I married El Hubbo, I never sang in the shower because I knew my family would tease me about it. Since our nuptials, I’ve come out of my shell.
This morning, it was “Let Me Take You Home Tonight” by Boston.

I often wonder if my downstairs neighbor can hear me singing in the shower. Then I decide that anybody who can listen to “Disco Inferno” at least once a day is in need of a little classic Ella Fitzgerald filtering down through the drain pipe every morning. My personal favorite–“Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered”. About an 8-minute song, which is perfect for shower-time if I neglect to shave my legs. 🙂

I can’t tell you how happy I am to find out that not only does someone remember that song, but they also find themselves singing it for no particular reason. I also often find myself humming the “Mommy, wow!” song from the Pull-Ups diapers commercial quite a bit.
And that Children’s Aid Society song will stay in my head for WEEKS.

I’m a compulsive singer - I tend to loop through:

Frank Sinatra
Jarvis Cocker/Pulp
Aerosmith
This morning was a Rod Stewart morning - The First Cut is the Deepest. 🙂

5 years or so ago in my first year at University i lucked out and ended up in the Halls that had ensuite showers.
I got on alright with the people i shared halls with but didn’t really socialise with them much - I was a computer junkie from a poor background and most of them were trendy well-off young socialites. So although we’d trade hello’s etc. i actually spent most of my time in one of the other halls where most of my mates were, or squirrelled away in my room mucking around with computers.
Anyway, every morning at about 1pm (hey - its morning to a student!) i used to get up, stroll into my shower and wash. Of course i used to sing my heart out at the top of my lungs too!
One morning i was just drying off after my shower and starting up the ol’ computer when i noticed that someone had slipped a note under the door to my room. It said:

Apparently my next-door neighbour had heard everything :eek:
Suitably embarrassed - largely because my neighbour was _gorgeous_ (18, long red hair, and the most amazing legs i’ve ever seen) - i wrote a quick note back saying that i was sorry, didn’t mean to wake her up and wouldn’t do it again. Being too chicken to give it to her in person, i slipped it under her door.
Next morning i got up and showered without singing a note.
When i got out though, once again there was a note by the door:

So that night we went out for a drink, had a really nice night and chatted lots - turns out she was a big Sinatra fan (like me).
Towards the end of the evening, still a bit embarrased, i apologised again about the singing and told her again that i would stop. She giggled and said something about how she’d actually quite liked it - it was like an alarm clock only more fun.
Then she looked at me and said (can _still_ remember this bit word for word!):
“Actually, just a thought but do you do requests?”
“I suppose so” I replied Laughing and blushing a bit. “What do you want me to sing?”
“Tomorrow morning in the shower will you sing _Something Stupid_?”
This confused me a bit “By Frank Sinatra? Sure - but isn’t that a duet?!”
She giggled, raised her eye-brows and smiled. Leaning in close she whispered quietly in my ear:
“Yes it is.”

I have a habit of singing in the shower as well. It tends to be either Queen, or Aerosmith, or some Indian song. And I sing loud. Luckily, my housemates haven’t complained, yet.

Yes, my husband does the singing in the shower thing. Usually country. Lately, he’s been running this song called “Almost Home” into the ground. He has a nice voice, but Gad, I hate country.

I tend to sing Tori Amos or various traditional or semi-operatic songs. I’m not very good at singing most pop music.
I’m also quite loud, too, so I tend to only do it when no one else is around.

The songs I wish I could sing are the ones I can never remember the words to, so I end up singing stupid little ditties or commercials. Or something lame like ‘Amazing Grace’ or ‘Take me Home Country Road’ etc…
You can buy those radios that are water- proof and hang in the shower, perhaps If I get one of those I’ll be right, plus it will drown out the off-key singing!🙂

Usually, I don’t sing in the shower, but I do frequently get a song stuck in my head while drying off. Usually, I don’t sing it, but i do say the words under my breath.
