# Singing the praises of fellow Dopers

I posted a [thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=218374) almost five years ago about my family situation.

The resulting posts (and some close real life friends) kept me together and started me out on a journey to a much healthier situation. I owe the contributors a serious thanks.

I’ve pretty much been lurking here since pay-to-play set in, but I’m back with a name change, thanks to **TubaDiva**. Hopefully I’ll be able to contribute to this diverse community.

I also owe a thanks to the person who paid for my membership on the first year of pay-to-play, especially granting my very limited posting. Whoever you are, I would be glad to pay that back now that I have the means. Just PM me and let me know.

Anybody else have any random thanks to toss out?
