I like long walks in the woods, the occasional dancing, the occassional gambling, but most of all I like hanging out at home watching a movie and drinking beer.

I’m female, thus the dragonLADY, no it’s not to confuse you.
I’m 40, widowed five years with two kids. My son is 19, going to Boot Camp in two weeks and my daughter is almost 12. She has braces, it important to her that I tell EVERYONE that.
I work as a rural mail carrier, part time, and my route is on the shores of Lake Shasta. I couldn’t begin to design a website.

NM is 27, lives in Greensboro NC, and is single but not desperately so.
It’s not that I have problems meeting women, its that I problems meeting the _right_ women. Turn-ons include intelligence, honesty, being easy going and having a love of family (a love of baseball wouldn’t hurt either). Turn-offs are “cat people” (just very allergic nothing personal), snobs, know-it-alls, and women who talk way too much.

Hi, I’m Beaker. I’m 24 and live near Houston. My hobbies are…ok, I haven’t gotten around to starting any hobbies, but when I do, I’m positive that they’ll be incredibly fascinating to you all. My greatest wish is for World Peace, but I’m willing to settle for another Monty Python reunion of the entire cast, even if they can only use Graham Chapman’s urn as a gag prop from time to time. My dislikes include trying to make myself sound interesting in single personal ads. I like music, movies, history, and conversing about meaningless things until all hours of the morning. Finally, I promise that if elected your President that I will provide poor families everywhere free and easy access to the Straight Dope message board.

But since this one’s specifically about _single_ Dopers, and I’m working on it, I’ll post again.
I’m 50, charming once in a while, and even a fairly good cook. (Unfortunately, that shows. I need to work on that too. ☹ )
I live in Burnaby, B.C., and pretend to work at computer support at a college in Surrey.
I like to walk in the various parks around here, and grow a few herbs and things on my balcony. I read a lot (half an hour or more on the bus morning and evening, and more besides), mostly mysteries, SF/fantasy, and a lot of random non-fiction.

I’ve posted most info in the other thread, but here goes again…
I’m Sam, I live in the Bay Area, CA(San Jose to be exact). I’m 23, I work in the internet industry. My AIM/AOL Screenname(I only use it when I’m bored and at work), is TheFab1(and I’m not nearly as egotistical as my choice of nicks would lead you to believe).
I do **not** have a website, as that would require a certain amount of _commitment_, and you know how 20-something guys can be about that 🙂
I’m single, perennially single to be honest. Can’t meet the “right” girl to save my life…
My interests are pretty much in technology, car andhome audio…I have several car projects going on now as well. So, my 20-some projects laying around my pad pretty much suck up all my time and money.

Lets see I’m 17 live in Alberta I love pets but we can’t have any. (Is it strange to be a cat AND dog lover?)
I enjoy camping immensely. (None of that stuff with an RV a good tent and a sheltered area near a lake I’m happy as a clam :)) I also like hiking (day hikes only), gardening (though my thumb isn’t that green…), reading (SF/Fantasy mostly but just about anything is good for me), crafts (cross-stitch, knitting, jewelry making…), role playing (I’m crazy about it… don’t believe me look at my site and see the list of characters I play… and thats not all of them I have a few secret c’s as well), writing (mostly poems and sometimes short stories)

I’m 41, two kids; girl 16, boy 8. I live in a small town 20 miles south of the Richmond, Virginia. I’m 5’6", burnette with brown eyes. I used to read a lot but I need glasses and haven’t gotten any yet. I love to cook and I’m good at it. I like my houseplants, refinishing old furniture, swimming, boating, fishing, and watching my kids play sports. I’ll have an occasional drink or two and don’t mind dancing. Fellas you don’t have to, if I feel the urge I’ll get up there all by myself! I love my family, two sisters; 35 and 30. Love movies although I go infrequently now, usually do a video. Love stand-up comedy, Rock N Roll, the Blues, and can tolerate Country. Like ancient history, art, and architecture.
