I guess being a single doper, this thread is for me. I’m 21, and go to school in Coastal Central California I haven’t had a BF yet, but that will happen sometime in the future. I’m not actively looking for someone, and I really don’t feel any great need to right now. People say I look thinner than I am, and i’ve been pleasantly surprised at all the reactions i’ve gotten over pictures of me (a very rare moment when I look decent on film. Check out Democritus’ homepage for pics of me (in one of the photo albums for doper bashes ;)). I have a website, but it hasn’t been updated in ages. And i **might** give you the URL if you beg and plead (although i have to tell you, i get a kind of perverse kick out of seeing people beg, then not giving them what they want. Is that so bad? :)) ---

I’m single, but I have on intentions of dating right now. What the hell! I’ll reply anyway because I still like to complain about loser-boys liking me. I’m 19, I go to Warren Wilson College in Asheville, NC where I major in creative writing. It’s a terrible college and I’m transferring to Macalester in Saint Paul, Minnesota nest year. I attract weak, needy men with no backbone, and my favorite band is Led Zeppelin, solo artist, David Bowie. ---

25, Green/Blue eyes, 5’9", don’t smoke, rarely drink, very fit, VERY VERY SINGLE. hate stuff i hate, love the stuff i love, and if i could figure out why it’s so hard to meet a woman in NYC that can open her mouth up without sounding like she had just risen from the depths of my toilet bowl, i would not be single. 🙂 Thank you. I’m 22 and I reside in Rochester, MN. I have mixed feelings about being single…while of love the idea of having someone to curl up with at night and all that, I just hate the whole dating scene. I’m not good at approaching people I’m interested in, and when people approach me, I get nervous and look like a total schmuck. Anyway, I’m a medical secretary, I enjoy music, reading, a good night of barhopping, cooking, theatre, movies, singing, playing the guitar and the flute. Music is my main passion, my favorite artists are Elton John, Chris Isaak, the Indigo Girls, Metallica, and a bunch of others too numerous to list. My ultimate goal is rock stardom. I dislike children, I don’t ever plan on having any. The whole motherhood deal just doesn’t appeal to me. My dream man is intelligent, funny, confident, loves music, kind, hates sports as much as I do, likes to read, likes movies, likes the theatre, sexy, but not necessarily in a conventional way. I tend to be attracted to geeks. I’m 51, single/white/male, married 3 times (I or they grow old at about 10 years). I have several kids of all different type relationships (blood related, step, ex-step, you name it), a few grandkids, four cats (I once said I wanted a panther as a pet, everyone thought that meant I like cats), and a yard full of birds (not pets). I have a personal computer service company, (Personal, means I am the only employee) that I work at enough to pay the mortgage & food bill. I do a little programming and a little bit of anything to do with computers. I like working in the yard (I’m good at growing a lawn, am getting better at flowers, can’t even grow a vegatable), going for walks, and riding a bike. Anything to get outside on nice days. I used to play soccer some. I like the Cowboys and the Stars. Don’t like singles scenes. I like being comfortable around a person instead of jumping in the sack, although sex is my absolute favorite thing. I like just setting around drinking beer and telling stories, just getting to know people and their experiences. Jim ---

I’m 34 years old. Live in LA. Am very fond of children, also cats and dogs. As to pictures, forget it. I’m the stereotypical “but he has a nice personality”. Except I don’t. I’m also a newbie. My ambition is to avoid being throughly disliked and banned. I think that the fact that I’m posting this at two in the morning says a lot about me. None of it good.
