Okay, this Madness thing all started when I ran a Sitcom Madness two years ago. In the original Sitcom Madness, I divided the shows up by decade: Bracket 1 was 50s & 60s, Bracket 2 was 60s & 70s, etc. The big winner was _The Simpsons_. In this latest incarnation of Sitcom Madness, I’ve divided up the shows by theme, and put them in appropriate brackets. Also, this time around, only live-action shows (no cartoons; sorry Simpsons fans), and only network shows. First round voting goes until Monday at 5p EDT. Vote in each matchup for the show that you would rather watch if those were the only shows on TV. The final four will match up Brakets I & III, and II & IV. Here we go: **I. Family Shows** Andy Griffith VS. Mad About You What About Raymond VS. The Brady Bunch All in the Family VS. Home Improvement I Love Lucy VS. The Fresh Prince of Bel Air The Cosby Show VS. Malcolm in the Middle Roseanne VS. Happy Days Leave it to Beaver VS. Good Times The Donna Reed Show VS. Arrested Development **II. Workplace Shows** MASH VS. Sanford & Son Cheers VS. The Bob Newhart Show Frasier VS. 30 Rock Taxi VS. NewsRadio Newhart VS. Frank’s Place WKRP in Cincinnati VS. Sports Night Barney Miller VS. The Office Mary Tyler Moore VS. Scrubs **III. Buddy Shows** Seinfeld VS. A Different World Friends VS. Bosom Buddies Laverne & Shirley VS. Drew Carey Will & Grace VS. The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis The Odd Couple VS. The Facts of Life Welcome Back, Kotter VS. Martin My Name is Earl VS. That 70s Show Three’s Company VS. Golden Girls **Odd-ball/Surreal Shows** The Beverly Hillbillies VS. Small Wonder Green Acres VS. ALF 3rd Rock from the Sun VS. Mr. Ed The Addams Family VS. Sabrina the Teenage Witch Mork & Mindy VS. Herman’s Head Soap VS. Sledgehammer! The Munsters VS.
