Simpsons and Cheers. I’m a little shocked at some of the finalists. I think some excellent shows got knocked out early by being pitted against other excellent shows. ---

Ugly choices. I. This is hard. Both ahve had a profound effect on ppular culture. My vote goes to…The **Dick Van Dyke Show** , for starting it all. II. This is a slam-dunk, no-contest massacre. **Cheers** by a gazillion points. ---

Cheers is a no brainer over the never-should-be here I can’t bring myself to name unworthy other choice. Dick Van Dyke is a worthy choice, but the Simpsons wins the popular vote. ---

I. The Dick Van Dyke Show vs. III. **The Simpsons** II. Cheers vs. IV. **News Radio** Mainly because I have never actually _seen_ Cheers, except a few clips here and there. Nothing I’ve seen or heard of it compels me to believe that it was substantially superior to _News Radio_. More, popular, sure. But funnier? Eh. ---
