After seeing Crazy Horse which is still in progress, go to Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. It is, to the best of my knowledge, the poorest place in the United States. There is a church there that overlooks the cemetery at Wounded Knee. Be sure to read about what happened at Wounded Knee before you go.

In the winter, many of the houses don’t have any heat.

Old town Orange, California, and Watson’s Drug Store.
Santa Monica Pier – the western terminus of Route 66.
Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm (and stay for the chicken dinner).

As others have more or less said, there’s lots and lots. It’s a BIG country.

The Jackalope Statue in Douglas, Wyoming.

American hubris at its finest!
Really, it’s very amazing to be on this boat, on a pitifully narrow “river,” with ALL THESE SKYSCRAPERS on either side…

Our church has a mission trip to the Pine Ridge Reservation every summer. The poverty there Is hard to imagine.
