[Heh, here’s the only picture I could find.](http://www.angelfire.com/celeb2/anthony_head/Stage.html) And yeah, as the Pirate King.

Huh, I didn’t know he was doing Peter Pan too.

> Raymond Gubbay’s new production of Gilbert and Sullivan’s ever-popular operetta The Pirates of Penzance is set to face the critics Jan. 8. The production joins Peter Pan in rep, both produced by impresario Raymond Gubbay, who has taken up residency at the Savoy Theatre.
>
> Anthony Head, taking a break from fighting vampires and demons in TV’s “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” is doubling up as Peter Pan’s Captain Hook and Pirates’ Pirate King. While the Pan sticks closely to the original book, the Pirates is pitched closer to musical theatre than either the original D’Oyly Carte style or the rock-stylings of Joseph Papp’s famous production.

> From what I can gather, the BBC was always interested in the show. But Joss got wicked busy with Firefly, and then after Firefly was cancelled, he focused most of his energy on getting a Firefly movie, and saving Angel from the chopping block. Now he’s going to be completely absorbed with the movie, _but_ with Angel over, he might be able to find the time to start a series for BBC. I haven’t heard anything indicating that the BBC is no longer interested.

Not to mention he’s co-writing _Tales of the Vampires_ and writing the first twelve issues of _Astonishing X-Men_.

If this series does come to pass, is there any way it might be seen in the US?

Now, only if they can hook up with some of the cast of _Prime Suspect_ and _Columbo_…

If the BBC does _Ripper_, I have only one demand: we get the DVDs before Europe does.

I mean, it’s only fair: they got all the Buffy DVDs first.
