# Six dead in local plane crash

I heard on the news this morning that two planes crashed into each other on a flight to Carpenteria. When I heard that they both took off from Van Nuys the first thing I thought was, “Hmph. I’ll bet they were trying to fly in formation.”

A few seconds later I heard that they and six other Beechcraft Bonanzas would make weekly formation flights.
