I got off early today, so I went to Wally World and bought 8 pounds of assorted meat, then I went home and napped. Nelly and I took a long walk, and she was batting her eyelashes at all the little fluffy boy dogs. Now I have to eat. **LiLi** , give me the Crunchies. I’ll help you take care of them. I’m so ready for tomorrow to be over. Tomorrow I deal with my ECUnt problems by paying for them and calling up the loan people to tell them that no, I am not yet graduated so they’ll have to wait until next May to start badgering me for my loan payments. Good news is that I’ve formed A Plan regarding job searching starting in mid-October when I’ve finished my thesis. Bad news is if Complicated Roommate tells me one more time that I’m lucky I’m not in the same boat he was regarding having no choice but to drop out of school, I’m going to have a Complicated-skin rug in my room. ---

My sweetie called - he should be home by 9 - yay! He sounded exhausted - poor baby. I had a fun evening - I paid a bunch of bills. I kinda forgot a few of them, plus I forgot to send in my application for the craft show next month. But I called and the chairman said to just send my app and check. I kinda figured she would - it’s not a huge show. So yay! Plus I’ll be doing a show on base in October. I need to get into the craft show circuit and get my ceramics moving - I’ve got way too many in the basement… Wish I’d taken tomorrow off. I don’t wanna go to work. I’m definitely going to leave early unless something unforeseen happens. Like work. :eek: ---

I’ve been a good bear. After chowin’ down at the hog trough, I went to the store to pick up a few things. Why is it I constantly need a “few things” from the store? Then I came back to da cave and have been workin’ on the pile. I’ve gotten enough done that I can justify stoppin’ for the night. After all, I do need sump’n to occupy my mind tomorrow right? Yay for telecommute day! Oh and sis, bil, niece and three or four friends from up at the old home place will be here over Labor Day weekend. This should be a hoot. We’ll have a rib feast. Since I already have a buncha ribs in the freezer that was a no brainer. Sis said sump’n about makin’ ice cream. Translated that means she wants big bro to make ice cream. 😃 I’m feelin’ sleepified but don’t wanna go to bed just yet so I’ll go surf around some. ---

Four down, one to go, yay! And welcome back, **SpecialOne**! 🙂 When I was little, about 3 or so, I used to like to go on errands with my Dad; back in the day, many businesses like banks and cleaners used to give away lollipops to children (that would definitely be frowned upon today, unless it was the dentist with that flouride lollipop :eek: wonder what that thing tastes like, btw?!). Naturally my aim was to get the lollipops–and those were the old, thick ones, that had a rope swirl instead of a stick. Good times! 🙂 And in other news, **Firday** is -almost- here. ---

Glad you’ve found a way to make it through the end of school, **Spaz**. Go you! Glad the new job is going so well, **Dotty**! I just can’t believe how pervasive the CNN and MSNBC e-mails seem to be. Some of them made it through our spam filter at work (and just about nothing does that). I’ve signed myself up for the August 25 MMP since I’ll be on vacation that week and I kind of have an idea… I know there was more (I read everything, I swear!), but I’m really tired and it’s not coming back to me. I’ll sign up for Sep 8 if it’s not taken - I’m taking that week off because it’s **Eagle’s Concert Week!** You see, it’s on a Tuesday, so I need to take Wednesday off. And that’s my regular Friday off week. So of course, I needed to take off Thursday, because who wants to go in for one day between days off? And so I said screw it, I have a floater holiday, might as well take off Tuesday too, right? And I refuse to go in just for Monday. Ya see the logic? 🙂 One week off - only 3 days of vacation used. Woo-hoo! ---

Finished _Ever After_. \ Such a fun movie. There is yet MORE beach volleyball on nbc, so now I’m going to watch _High Society_. (I got it at Target for $7.99!) It’s movie night (sans popcorn). Daughter went out to yet another going away party (between the graduation parties and the now going away parties, she’s partied out). Beautiful evening here with another gorgeous day to come tomorrow. Canadian cool front, me loves you! ---

There’s one advantage to getting off work at nine, hopefully the beach volleyball (WHO IS WATCHING IT??? NOBODY I KNOW GIVES A FUCK ABOUT IT!!!) will be over. Of course all the stuff I want to watch isn’t on until after ten, which is usually when I start thinking about heading for bed. I’ve been a bit sleep-deprived the last few nights. ---

Went to beach with friends on an overnight trip; have returned completely exhausted. And have to have dinner with co-workers tonight too. Debating whether a nap will help or not. Eeek.
