Is size=1 the default? How do I get it smaller?

Click on “reply” and check out the drop down box where it says “Size.” This is size 1.

Size 1 is the smallest, followed by 2. This is size 2.

And this is size 3

Size 4

Size 5

Size 6

And size 7, as big as it gets.

And this is normal size. Coding is as follows:

{SIZE=1}Text goes here{/SIZE} (Replace curly brackets with straight ones.)

This would give you:

Text goes here

Make sense?

Ahhh, yes, this is what I was looking to do.

Yes yes, I got all that. I guess I always assumed that the default (aka “normal size”) was somewhere in the middle (like 3 or 4). So I was expecting size=1 to make it smaller than normal. But I guess sub would be the command for that, right?

It isn’t how big your quotes are, it’s how you use it.

Hmmm… considering that “normal” is smaller than size=1 and there are 7 sizes bigger, this place is great for the self-esteem.

What browser are you using? :dubious:

This is size 1
This is default.
This is size 3.

I’m using IE and your post looks exactly as I would expect it to. Your “default” is the smallest text.

Strange. I see Size 1 as the smallest, and size 3 is the same as the default text. I guess you get two more levels of self esteem than I do. 🙂

Set IE back to normal font sizes. (View-\>Text Size-\>Medium)

IE screws up text sizes when you change from default.

Not a problem. That got sorted out in, of all places, a pit thread some time back.

Other browsers, for the record, display relative font sizes properly, regardless of the default absolute.
