Only if the rape tag flashes red and black at seizure inducing speeds and periodically dissolves into a demon, then a redneck, then an orange skinned jersey douchebag, then back to the rape tag. With really loud female screaming combined with deep demonic laughter sound effects. You know, just as a warning not to open the thread. Or not. ---

Just wanted to add that I find **Skald** to be one of the most consistently interesting posters on the board, and I have never noticed his hypotheticals to be prurient in any way. The degree of detail to which his posts go never dwells on the minutia of the act itself. To the best of my knowledge, **Skald** is interested in human behavior and moral dilemmas. His OPs generally involve extremes because extremes are what provoke the most intense debate, and has been noted above, rape is a particularly good topic because it’s an extreme crime that nonetheless leaves its victim alive and functional. As for trigger warnings, as I understand it, a trigger can be anything, and a PTSD sufferer may well not know what his/her trigger(s) are. Certainly someone who knows him/herself to be likely to be upset by a discussion about rape should stay away from a thread where the word rape is in the title, and if they don’t, I don’t see what good adding “trigger warning” would do. Admittedly, I have no experience with **Skald** off-board, but as far as the SDMB goes, I’ve seen absolutely no indication that he is obsessed with or attracted to rape in any way, and I try to keep an eye out for **Skald** threads. ---

**Skald** is creepy, for sure. Any man\* whose fantasy life includes so many elaborately sketched episodes of Young Women in Peril, in which he constantly features himself as the white-knightly rescuer obviously has some very deep issues. And to present these stories as situations from his _actual_ life? _\_ \*I’m assuming that the author of the \*\*Skald the Rhymer \*\*character is a man in real life as well, but who knows. ---
