Skechers Shape Ups don't do s**t. Really?

Even if those shoes could help me lose weight, I’d still be like, “Dude, fuck it. I’ll join a gym.”

You’re not supposed to eat an entire pair in one sitting.

I got my pair a couple of years ago, and yes, I think they are both cute and comfy. I did in fact lose weight wearing them, but it was because I joined Curves at the same time and wore them while I worked out.

In the news story I read, some people “not only didn’t lose weight, but actually gained weight.” That’s some magical thinking, there. “I have these snazzy shoes, so I’ll have the pie and the ice cream sundae!”

Incidentally, it’s currently impossible to sign up for the refund. Downloadable forms are not yet available, and the online form consistently gives an error message.

snipped.

Before I had my foot surgery, I had constant pain. My podatrist suggested that I try shape-ups. The pain relief was instant. There were nights that I would sleep in them.

I think they are ugly. I think they are overpriced. I think that now that I’ve found the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn, that this weekend, I will go to the mall and buy 2 more pairs in case they stop making them.

Doesn’t MBT claim the same thing? How did they avoid getting fined?

I think most people don’t realise “comfortable” and “losing weight” are almost opposites. If the shoes really made you lose weight, they’d also make you tired.

How about those holographic wrist bands? Aren’t they false advertising as well?

Australia’s on the ball.
