64 right now, projected high 91. We’re looking at 90s until Saturday, when we’re due to hit 100. Lowest low this week will be 55. We haven’t changed the littlerbox routine, so it shouldn’t be that. And he hasn’t been acting ill at all. I really do think he’s just being a little ass. At the moment, he’s curled up on the foot of the bed on the freshly laundered mattress pad. I can’t put the sheets on yet because one corner of the pad got balled up in the dryer and it was still damp. So the ceiling fan is on and I should be able to make the bed before too long. The chicken will come out of the smoker in about 90 minutes, and the poke will continue in there for another couple of hours beyond that. I think supper tonight will be the chicken - or at least some of it. Plus I got some corn on the cob at the store today - not local but we’ll see how edible it is. 😃 I should probably empty the dishwasher now. Don’t wanna, but I should… ---

Holy Toledo MMPers! Y’all have had busy mornings! The drugs for my ankle are giving me wacko dreams. So much so that I’m starting to dread sleeping. Dreams about being chased by serial killers, while the flood waters rise, and my kids won’t leave the carnival. Might be an interesting movie, but I’m getting sick of it. Happy Sunday 🙂 ---

Just took the chicken out of the smoker - I think supper will be quite yum tonight! 😃 When the butt is done, I’ll let it cool, and tomorrow, I’ll shred it, dump it in the slow cooker with some sauce, and let it simmer away. Meanwhile, the laundry is in, the bed is made, and it’s clouding over a bit - if it starts to rain, I’ll need to pull the smoker into the garage. There’s enough of an overhang that it should be OK, unless we get a torrential storm. We shall see… ---

just to add to the misery My face got sunburned while I was out front, not horribly burned, just enough to be uncomfortable. I decided on pizza for lunch and the dominoes website was having issues. I was just about to give up when the order went through. I need to go to irk, I need a better paycheck but damn if I feel like doing anything but going to sleep. OMG, the smoked chickie is AMAZING!! So moist, so yummy!!! We’ll have it with steamed corn on the cob for supper tonight, and depending on how much is not eaten, I’ll either freeze it or make chickie salad. The butt will come out of the smoker in about half an hour. It rained for about 2 minutes, and it was coming straight down, so nary a drop fell on the smoker. So no panic there. Yay! The dishwasher has been emptied. \*\*FCD \*\*has showered and he’s crashed in front of the TV. The sun is back out and the day is winding down nicely. ---

Howdy Y’all! Everyone appears busy today. I have deheathenated, had a \ Quickie \ for N.O.L. (liver 'n onions, collard greens, hashbrown casserole, and fried cornbread to be exact), and have achieved nappage. 'Tis 96 out but feels like a hunnert, so nice day to be in the A/C. ---

Back from deheathenation and some necessary erranding we couldn’t get to yesterday due to car issues. Car is doing fine, BTW. Got to get DH ready for first day of training tomorrow, so I predict a fair amount of sudden “I need this, gotta do that” from him this evening. I’ll cope, especially with the help of some of the chocolate chunk cookies we picked up while erranding. I have tomorrow off. What I _should_ do is work on mining the place out. What I’m probably _going to_ do is go sloth. Very tired lately (heat isn’t helping), and I have a painful hip today. ---

My grandfather’s in the hospital again. He had a mini stroke, I heard. My mother is still in the local hospital and is getting help, so that’s good. ---

I was not really hongry so I got their small cheeseburger and a drink. Their “small” is still pretty big so it filled me up. And that’s the news from da cave. ---
