First off - I am mosquito lunch. My Dad used to be safe as long as he was standing near an ordinary person. Must come back to hear **Bobbio’s** story. He wouldn’t leave us hanging, wouldn he? Good to hear that your mother is improving Boofae. There aren’t many where I’m living now, but past squirrel pedestrians that I have known have had an unfortunate tendency to race across the road and then just as they’re clearing the far wheel, they double back and -thump-. I imagine it’s a strategy that works great with owls and hawks, and that isn’t bad with foxes and cats, but is no good at all with cars. Need to finish my donut and get back to work. The donut was part of the goodies in celebration of an office-mates new baby. This is his first day back at work. ---

**{{{Emily}}}** , At my thirtieth class reunion, we had lost 16 of ~450. A year out from the 35th, we’ve lost no more. It makes you acutely aware of your own mortality. Right now, I have a skeeter bite on my right arm that’s scabbing over (yes, I scratched it, don’t judge! 😛 ). I got them a lot when I was a kid, but as an adult, like **doggio** , I eat enough spicy food that they don’t like me so much, plus, some of my sunblock has bug dope in it. I had a weird dream right before I woke up this morning. I dreamed that I went back to work for one of my former employers (the one that moved to **swampy** ’s neck of the woods) and was on second shift. I was living with someone else and didn’t have a car and was scurrying to get a ride to work. Then I woke up. ---

I decided to take advantage of the last open-window day for a while and bake some cookies. \*\*FCD \*\*was hankerin’ yesterday, and I just happened to have enough oats, so I’ve got not-quite 6 dozen oatmeal-pecan cookies - 2 pans done, 2 in the oven, 2 standing by. Then I’ll have to close up the house and turn on the a/c, alas! It’s already 80° outside and 74° inside. When it hits 76° in here, closure begins. Dammit. ---

Ham steaks, green beans and au gratin N.O.T. for dindin tonight. YUM! All of it is easy and tasty, just the way I like my dindin and my men. 😃 **BooFae** forgot to say earlier, glad your mum is on the mend! I got old durin’ a fourteen month time span from late 2008 - January 2010. First, we elected a POTUS who is younger than me. Then my church called a Priest who is younger than me, then, the Diocese elected a Bishop who is younger than me. This was the first time in my life any of those people became younger than me. SHEESH! Ok, I’m supposed to be gettin’ all learnt up still. So maybe I should get back at it, or not. ---

SHEESH! Circa 1997, our family physician was 12 or so. OK, he looked 12, and he was very good, but DANG!! My last dentist graduated from college in 1996. My doctor (actually, PA) is in her early 30s. Heck, my last boss before I retired was 10 years younger than I!! _\_ ---

Cookies are in containers, dishes are done, kitchen is kinda tidied, laundry is in, and a couple of hunks of tuna are thawing on the counter. It’s been a productive day.
