i might be, er, bored. i try and get up and scoot around on my little knee scooter. So that’s 30 minutes out of 24 hours. Lots of time on the Dope. Reading a bunch. I refuse (refuse I say) to open up my VPN connection and look at work email this week. Plus I’m drugged to the gills. The results might be amusing. But probably best avoided. Trying to get the kids to play Risk with me. So far all I’ve accomplished is to get my son to watch Teen Titans Go with me. (Not. Enough. Drugs.) Why do all kids cartoons scream so much? Pizza tonight I think. 😃 ---

We have dropped off the bike at the dealer’s. The buyer is supposed to go there Thursday to finish the deal, then they’ll call me to pick up the check. Whew. \*\*FCD \*\*is taking a nap. He’s not interested in stir fry, so I guess supper will be grab whatever. Yep, lots of excitement here. ---

Summer is here, here. Rumor is that the low last night was in the eighties, which means that it didn’t cool down very fast at night. According to one local weather site, it got to be 105F during the day, yesterday. That site also said that the low was 0F, though, so I’m not sure I believe it. It got hot, though. The forecast claims it will be overcast and in the nineties for a couple of days, working up to clear and 100F on Friday. My knees will love it. The rest of me, will make do. So - Summer. My middle son posted a video on Facebook with the comment: we have lost containment. It was a video of his 6 month old daughter not quite crawling. She gets up on hands and knees but can’t maintain it. So she flops forward and then gets up again. Looks like a seal on an ice floe, only the arms are pointed forward. You can see that she’s figured out that transportation is a thing that can happen and she’s determined to use it to get to things. Because of cats and dogs, most things are already up out of reach in their house. They’re about to find out what’s been left at ground level. 😃 ---

My mother continues to do extremely weird crazy shit, and nobody can get her into the psych ward where she belongs. I’m not even going to get into what she’s been doing. It’s disturbing to think about. I just hope I’ll never go crazy and say a bunch of weird shit, here or on Facebook or to people in real life or through email. Come to think of it, I used to sometimes say bad/weird things while I was drunk, but I’ve been sober for quite a bit over a year now. There’s a part of my mind that wants to get me back into drinking, but I have to remind myself that if I got back into drinking, I’d probably never be able to stop. ---

According to our outdoor thermometer (I’m in south Sacramento), low last night was 72. I think the 105 high was plausible. We need grandbaby pictures to coo at. 😃 ---

Well, that was a bit of unnecessary fun. About 45 minutes ago, I am comfortable in bed, Law & Order is on the TV, and I’m playing a game on the iPad, when I hear the telltale silence of all machinery stopping. So I launch the flashlight app, get into Jazzy, and go see if any of the neighbors have power. I open the door, and just about everyone is outside with the same question. So we all had a little meet & greet while we waiting for the 'lectric company to get its shit together. Thank Og, it was still light out, and not too hot and not too humid. Got to hear some lovely tales of how just about everyone in the complex hates the head maintenance guy because he treats us like stoopit old senile farts. Nice to know I’m not the only one he’s pissed off. All the dogs were outside, too, barking up a storm; Smokey was at the screen door, meowing at anyone who passed. I guess she wanted in on the fun, too. Ah well. Now it’s back to bed and Law & Order. ---
