Fucking hell.

As for all, an arm around a lved one, as a crappy old b&w drones on ispretty nice.

Everything ok?

This, right here, is why you’re on the list. Any chance you can translate this tomorrow?

I’m just tired. So, so, SO tired.

I know this one!

It’s easier to get to sleep while watching tv, even an old black and white set, if you are watching it with someone you love.

Yeah. I hear you on the caffeine, too. :frowning:

drop, I’m so sorry about what you’re going through, but I’m really glad you hang out here with us.

TCM. A Summer Place. Too early to teach you.

Thank you!

Ditto, even if I do give you crap about the babbling. Mostly it’s because I’m worried.

I finally got some sleep last night, and then a long nap in the afternoon.

I’m almost out of liquid melatonin. It doesn’t work every night, but it helps more often than not.

This.

The liquid melatonin has worked pretty well for when I wake up during the night.

Another thing I experienced last night that I should talk about.

Laid down and my mind was racing. Lots of fractional images passing through my head in rapid fashion. Instead of allowing that to be in the center of my mind disrupting everything, I turn it outward, like a show being projected on my eyelids. Then I stop worrying about it and just let it flow by without disrupting the calm center.

That’s what the liquid melatonin does for me. OIt’s all still there, but I’m removed from it.

I’m gonna have to get off caffeine this week. I know it’s part of the problem. I’m really sensitive to it.

I have tried 3 different types of liquid melatonin now. I’ve been using the dose recommended on the bottle and no help. I will now try different doses and see if I get anywhere. Sigh. I really think I’m just wired differently than day people. I’m perfectly happy staying up most of the night and sleeping until the middle of the afternoon. Unfortunately, the world does not use my schedule.

I suspect a lot of us with insomnia just have natural circadian rhythms that differ from the majority. My prime time starts around 7pm and runs to around 3am.

I’m similar.

As am I! I also think I’d do better with at least 26-hour days.

In my earlier days, I used to swear that a 28 hour day would work much better for me.

What would a longer day look like, sleep-schedule wise?

Agreed completely. If we didn’t have obligations of any sort, we wouldn’t be insomniacs.

When I can sleep, my cycle is 2:00 PM to 3:00 AM.

I am retired and have the option of “sleeping” when I want to sleep.

It has nothing to do with insomnia.

If you are constantly tired on the job, it may be a cycle mismatch.

Some of us can’t sleep at all.

I have not slept for 2 weeks. I fell asleep at the computer - the chair makes a nice curve for fetal position.

That was Sat night. Kitty woke me at 4:00 PM Sun.

I now know what it takes for me to collapse from exhaustion.
