Yeah, the Cranes are horrible friends and even worse parents. I enjoyed that and was surprised the show surprised me. But don’t all Icky ad Abbie have to do is think of each other and :BAM: there they are. PS, why did Katrina the-inespicably-taciturn not mention the soul trading thingie every time she begged Icabod to rescue her from purgatory? ---

Zow Certainly was an intense season finale. I wouldn’t quite say Red Wedding, but certainly shakes things up. Jenny may be not-just-mostly-dead, but I assume Abby and Ichabod will get out of their predicament somehow. Perhaps Katrina will get away somehow. Brian ---

Ok, that was a super shocking finale! Walternate is actually War… which kinda fits (for those folks that watched “Fringe”). Katrina is gone with Death, Ichabod is trapped in Jeremy’s old grave. Jenny is close to death. Abby is stuck in a dollhouse in Purgatory. And Irving is in prison. Getting out of this one may be somewhat interesting… And if you told me a year ago that I’d be watching a show that showed George Washington’s grave was actual some sort of Masonic tomb thing in Sleepy Hollow, NY, with a hidden puzzle to find the actual grave, and my first reason was “that’s awesome”, I’d have said you were smoking something. Yeah, I’m all in on the premise. ---

I have a theory of how they get out. Or Abbie anyway. Jenny is for reals dead, she goes to purgatory where they forgive each other yet again and Abbie gets to go free. ---

Great twist of a finale. That adult-Jeremy dude is one awesome actor. What ruined the suspension of disbelief for me was the National Treasure type machinery in Washington’s tomb. Sure, a device starts up after 200+ years by inserting a ring. Moving a stone sets off machinery that hasn’t moved in all that time. Oil lamps and torches haven’t dried out. And how did they construct such an elaborate tomb, complete with statuary, in secret and why do so, knowing it would not be seen? ---

I didn’t even know this was the finale so I was pleasantly surprised about the episode. Really great twists, and it was kind of mindblowing to see that War has already been here the whole time. It also solves some lingering mysteries before it got too drawn out and stale like what exactly did Abby and Jenny see in the woods when they were kids and what the whole deal was with Washington’s bible. It seems like they are making sure that the show moves on at a brisk pace. But now I’m upset because it won’t be back until fall! In a previous episode, they showed that the Horseman Death was of a friend of Ichabod’s, whom Katrina was betrothed to but end up dumping for Ichabod. Somebody refresh my memory cause I might have missed this, but the whole deal with the son Jeremy, I remember they had the son but he was dying or they had to get rid of him or something? What was the deal with him and how’d he end up in the coffin? ---

Sleepy Hollow always has worked best if you didn’t think too much about it (I mean, to begin with, how in the world was Washington’s Bible so well preserved) :). ---

I’m actually kind of annoyed about the Jeremy reveal. I was looking forward to young, angsty, “you ruined my life” Jeremy. I love John Noble, but I’m kinda _meh_ on The Big Tweest. Also, am I the only person who doesn’t give the slightest bit of a damn about Katrina? ---

He was in his early 20s (or something) when his heart was stopped, which is presumably when his aging stopped, but he’s only been resurrected for 13 years. Katrina was in purgatory soon after the birth of Jeremy - but “You don’t know the depths…” 200 years buried semi-alive will do that to a fellow. I freaking loved the switch when Bishop became Jeremy - that actor pulled that off (as he always does). As for Washington’s tomb - did anyone else yell “don’t blink” when they entered?
