I’m an artist and I HATE slides. But everyone in the business expects me to present things that way. They are used to squinting through a magnifier over slides caught between acetate pockets, glaring of a lightbox.
Presumably the end clients like to see the slides shown big in the back office of the gallery, but it turns out they too must squint.
Photographs show the work so much better it isn’t funny, and they can be so easily copied and mailed and spread out in frunt of a couple or small group.
