[This](http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/c/a/2005/08/19/MNGOBEA9JI1.DTL) was the front-page, above-the-fold headline in the San Francisco Chronicle today. I like to imagine the editorial decision that led to this: “Chief, I just heard on the wire! It’s foggy! In _San Francisco!_” “_What?!_ Stop the presses! This has pulitizer written all over it!” I think this tops my previous favorite most pointless Chronicle headline, which was “Flash! Prince Makes No News!” which was basically about how Prince Edward had never really done anything particularly interesting, except maybe be gay. It took up a full page. ---

I thought this thread would be about [this](http://www.sfgate.com/flat/archive/2005/08/19/chronicle/archive/2005/08/19/BAreward19.html) story. Not that I find it a non-story. But I know a lot of folks would think it silly that folks would contribute towards such a large reward. Myself, I’ve seen the security film, which sickens me, and think that this guy is a likely candidate to move on to killing people. I hope he gets caught, the asshole. ---
