Roman War Pigs must fit in there, somewhere.

One of the truly great SDMB Threads.

I remember that thread! I even participated in it. Good times.

You know Sig? Oh, you poor thing. . . .
While I’m here I might as well take a shot at it. So she’s riding pigs? I can imaging a feminist characterizing the character’s job as “riding pigs”.

I think maybe it has something to do with this line from the question:

Lustful Roman soldiers in far-flung corners of the empire apparently used them [the coins] to overcome the problem of expressing their specific desires in the local dialect.

In other words, if you don’t use the coin with the approriate act displayed on it, and you try to describe the act in the local dialect, you’re likely to wind up with a woman riding two pigs instead of…well, instead of what you really wanted.

On second thought, he’s got an X token, and she appears to have an X token, and he appears to like what he sees, so maybe an X token… I can’t be bothered.

I’m with BJMoose.

“Hey, baby, how much?”
“You meerkat!”
“Don’t be stuck up, baby; show me your tits!”
“Eastern gray kangaroo!”
“You know you want to.”
“Vole!”
“Suck on this, baby.”
“Pig!”
“Oh. Sorry.”
