So two weeks ago I decided to go ahead and use the new :smack: in a post, in anticipation of its being accepted, to try to be the first to use it. [On 5-29-02, at 3:33 PM PST](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?postid=2142049#post2142049) Marvel at my foresight! So was I the first? A petty and perhaps rather pathetic distinction, I know, but I’ll take what I can get.😉 ---
