Small but extremely vocal organization is bending the ear of the FCC

It occurred to me at work today that any group trying to get the gov’t to do this sort of thing is really saying this: “We’re shitty parents. We’re such shitty parents that we have to try to get the gov’t to raise our kids because we can’t do it ourselves. We can’t control what our kids see on TV, what they see in movies, what they listen to in music or what they read in books. We can’t teach them our religion ourselves. So we want the gov’t to make sure our kids see what we think are the right things on TV and in movies, and hear what we think they should hear, and learn what we think is the right religion. And we think you’re shitty parents, too, and you can’t raise your kids right either, and that the gov’t should make your kids see, hear and think what we think they should.”
