One did a few years back. I believe it was University of Oklahoma, basketball, men’s, c. 2000, pero no se exactamente.

Anyway, aren’t the musicians who die in plane crashes usually amateur pilots or flying with amateur pilots? Sports teams take charter flights.

On a return flight from a game at Colorado in 2001, two Oklahoma State players died when their 11-seat plane (one of three chartered by the team) [crashed in a snowstorm about forty miles east of Denver.](http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/basketball/college/news/2001/01/27/denver_planecrash/)

Besides the 1970 Marshall football tragedy I mentioned in a previous post, the article linked above also mentions the 1977 accident that claimed the lives of all 29 aboard, including the [University of Evansville’s entire 14-man basketball team, as well as the coach.](http://www.lsj.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20051213/S15002/512130310/1134)

Why does it take my non-stick pans forever to dry? Hand or machine washed, the insides stay wet looong after everything else is dry.

Can I write _refused_ on a letter or does the post office have to stamp it? Can I refuse junk mail?

Is it counterproductive to depill your clothes, or would they continue pilling up at the same rate even without plucking off those unsightly little balls and clumps when they’re still small? Has anybody ever scientifically studied this?

I’ve noticed the pills get larger if left on. I don’t know how the rate of pilling (pillage?) changes though. Would you reach a maximum pill level if they all stayed on, tying up all the little fuzzies? Great, I’ll never get to sleep tonight.

Their first release came out in 1989. They are a real Japanese girl surf punk group.

… and a great match for Tarantino since they both basically recycle other people’s material… 😉

I don’t get why this isn’t either a series of GQs or, better yet, people just don’t Google a lot of this stuff…

> As a veteran of this manuever, I can tell you it’s not fun. Your engine revs _way_ up, you slow down like you’d stomped on the brakes, and then your instinct for self-presevation (or at least preservation of your wallet) kicks in and you stomp on the clutch. In my case, the whole thing took about a half a second. If anyone else had the guts to stick it out, I’d be interested to know what happens.

15yrs ago when i got my driving licence i raced a friend of mine (as you do) along a dual carriageway. we had identical cars, old mini’s, i was catching him up doing 5,000rpm in 3rd, went to change into 4th and put into 2nd instead. the experience was the same as above, must of gone way over the engine limitations in terms of rpm, lasted about 2 secs. i had to pull over about 100meters later with the temp gauge in the red and steam pouring out of the engine. cooked it. not to be recommended.

Because “que lastima!” is Spanish for “what a shame!” Maybe they should’ve picked a different route

> Another cat-related question:

IANAV, but IAACO. Cats are highly responsive to certain human vocal sounds over others, for some reason; for example, they’re more likely to respond when addressed with a name that ends in a long ‘e’. That, supposedly, is the _other_ reason why “Kitty” is the most common cat name in America.\* “Psst Psst Psst” is probably just another one of those sounds–perhaps because of its relative frequency?

- This data is not only around ten years old, but gleaned rather sketchily from cat books I read as a child. I give no warranty.

The question I really wanted to know about was completely ignored here: Was it delicious with ketchup?
