# small, wireless security camera... how do I pick up the signal?

I found an old wireless transmitting security camera that I used to have. The problem is that I can’t find the receiver for it.  
Can I improvise, build, solder, etc. anything together to be able to be hooked into a television and use again?

There’s no sound, BTW.

Does the camera give any indication of the operating frequency? Maybe 900MHz or 2.4GHz on a graphic, perhaps?

I’m kind of a communication signals fan and have one of these:

That would do nicely but they’re probably more than you want to spend.
