Yes, I think I have made it clear that I didn’t care to ensure any particular degree of quality. I would hate to be someone who had to make small talk with you. You must be a tough audience, critiquing every “Good morning” or “see ya later, alligator.” ---

I’d get behind a metapitting, really. Best behavior or not, **Smapti** has an intractable worldview that is essentially contrary to that of most people. Every time he ends up in a discussion in which he shares his more…unusual views, the thread derails into challenging them. I don’t blame him at all; he’s just sharing his perspective, however wrongheaded I might find it. I blame the people who challenge him for the thread derailment. Threads turn into the **Smapti** Show because of us, not him. ---

The problem with that is that everyone encounters him for the first time, and his beliefs are literally so unbelievable that of course you challenge them. When I cited the bit in the other thread about a cop arresting Michael and charging him with the crime of giving his name as Mike, I was **certain** , like 100% certain, that he wouldn’t try to defend that. How could I have known? ---

Much of his logic is bordering on the absurd, but manages to stay barely in the realm of reason if you adopt the extremely authoritarian viewpoint that he so clearly has. But that was where I finally realized he was completely irredeemable. I think the boards would be better without him posting here. ---
