If you’re reading, Smapti, you’ve turned into the old Smapti on this issue - no nuance, and unwilling to criticize the conduct of your chosen side at all; the new Smapti should recognize that the Gazan people do not deserve this atrocious collective punishment they’ve been suffering for months, and the IDF has shown itself to be an incompetent and highly flawed organization.

Because I’ve been told as recently as a few posts ago that I’m not allowed to believe that Israel’s war is justified and that bombing aid workers is unacceptable, because everyone knows that aid workers can only be white, and if I’m only upset about white people dying then I must be a racist.
Either I’m required to believe thar Israel is 100% in the wrong in every single interaction it has with Palestinians or I’m “pro-genocide”, genocide having been defined at this point as “when one side is better at war than the other”.

I never said that we shouldn’t be helping Gaza. I said that the Arab states have an obligation to help Gaza that they aren’t living up to and people put words in my mouth to twist that into “you should only help your own race” despite my never once mentioning race as a factor.
The US is providing aid to Gazans caught in the crossfire, and that’s a good thing.

Please accept that 99.8% of ceasefire advocates care just as much about Israeli and Jewish lives as you do. I promise that their vision of Gaza absolutely positively does NOT include an entire country of 9.5+ million people sitting around passively while Hamas bombs them. A one sided peace isn’t peace at all, and I swear to God that every serious person discussing this issue who wants a ceasefire absolutely knows and internalizes this. There is no apathy for Israeli lives, and a ceasefire can preserve their well being in addition to that of Palestinians. I hope you can believe this sometime.
