[Fritz X](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fritz_X) Radio-guided. Calling it a “smart bomb” is an exaggeration… it was a very advanced weapon for the day, however. Allies learned to jam its radio signals very quickly. ---

Was the Pigeon-Guided Bomb ever used in an actual attack on a target? ---

A “smart bomb” is just simply a guided bomb. Both Axis and [Allies](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Azon) had them in the Second World War. The Japanese ones were guided by a human.
