Smokers: What do you do when you're sick?

QtM nailed it, whuckfistle. Hooked we are, to hell and gone.

My brother is one of those “social smokers” who can smoke one day and not the next, smoke at the club one night and then not pick it up again for a week or a month. I don’t know how he does it. Asshole.

I’m a light smoker (half a pack a day maximum), and to tell you the truth, the last thing I want to do is smoke when I’m sick. I have absolutely no nicotine cravings. The mere thought of lighting up while I’m sneezy/hacking/whatever makes me feel even more sick.

On the flip side, I know I’m physically getting better when the cravings start to emerge…

I smoke between a half-pack and a pack per day usually. I once had bronchitis so bad I was bed-ridden for days. I had run out of cigarettes, so I called a friend of mine and told him I’d pay him back if he brought a pack to me. I smoked about a half of a cigarette then had to put it out. It hurt so bad.

Otherwise (if I am not suffering from bronchitis), I will smoke during any illness. I just usually cut it way down…but I have to keep feeding the addiction.
