Occam’s Razor: Movies show smoking because it gives them something to do with their hands while saying their lines. It makes the scene more visual instead of just talking heads.
If I go for a 2 hour walk around town, 100% of reality shows smoking.
To me, I don’t know that its a matter of trust. And as for the lying over and over part — I still vote, after all. The best we can do is filter what we hear and see through our own personal “truth-o-meter” and move along. If someone wants to blame Big Tobacco, Big Oil, or President Obama for everything its no skin off my nose; I just see things differently.
you ‘think’ is not the same as ‘here is evidence that it actually happened’.
I don’t trust them - I wouldn’t put it past them - but I also have no evidence it happened, so I don’t convict them based on what you (or I, for that matter) may ‘think’ happened.
If, they are in fact breaking the law in,and paying for, this placement - provide the eviden to the people that can actually hurt them - prancing around on a message board with baseless accusations is not going to change anything.
