bah could be that old SA thread about camel spiders.

They Run at 30 MILES AN HOUR!
And Can jump 3 FEET STRAIGHT UP!
While SQUEALING LIKE A PIG!
oh yeah, and THEY WILL EAT YOUR FACE OFF!

never did find out if there was even a shread of evidence but it was probably responsible for a few hundred cases of arachnophobia by the time it got locked.

I’m sure she is. It was a reference to those sneaky elves in black leather with argyle socks and Uzzis hanging around the neighborhood with infra-red goggles, whispering cryptic remarks into radios. I thought we were done with that.
