I didn’t know this Elmore guy before and only had a vague notion who and what Huey Freeman was, so I gather there are lots of cliquish minifeuds going on made up of self-isolating and self-contained circles of jerks. ---

I have to say that based on the post cited as the instigation for this thread, the OP has set the bar for motherfucking-assholehood pretty low. But then I would say that, as I’m probably a motherfucking asshole too by that reckoning. ---

I sort of / kind of agreed with most of Banquet Bear’s post, but I’m sympathetic to the notion that it was far longer than necessary. A concise bit of pushback on that front isn’t a whole lot to get angry over. “Screed” isn’t even the most hurtful insult I’ve seen today … maybe even the past few hours. ---

The problem, as I see it, is too many feuds with all the same eager participants, making the Dope look like it has only a dozen members who all hate each other. Not a welcoming atmosphere. ---

Understanding prejudice requires awareness, and awareness requires…an effort to understand. ---
