How did that make it funnier? ---

I wonder if you have to be of that generation targeted by the “Scared Straight” shows to get the humor of that sketch. It was must-see TV for High Schoolers round about 1980. We all laughed off the lifers talking about how tough prison life was until they got around to the sexual violence. ---

I couldn’t recall ever having heard the word “fellatio” on network television before and most especially not in Prime Time. However, the Scared Straight skit aired about 10-15 minutes after Prime Time ended … I guess that made a difference. ---
