It’s not wholly unprecedented - Chevy Chase didn’t make any effort to imitate the look or specific mannerisms of Gerald Ford. ---

God I hope so. His Trump is brilliant and hilarious and right on fleek. The only thing good about this election was Baldwins and McKinnons impersonations. America is doomed but at least let us go down laughing. ---

I think they omitted Baldwin as Trump last night advisedly. Suddenly Trump doesnt seem so funny any more. (Although I’m sure normal service will be resumed ASAP.) ---

The old SNL clone “Fridays” did exactly that by having a black actor portray (then) Vice President Mondale. Can’t remember the guys’ name but he also did “Rasta Gourmet”. ---

SNL has Darrel Hammond on tap doing the announcing work since Don Pardo depardo’d (sorry). I’m sure he would be more than willing to step in for any Trump skits as he’s done in the past. I’m not the biggest fan of Hammond but his Trump is competent enough. ---
