I’m totally in the same boat. I know I sound like an old fart, but for 85% of any given season’s musical guests these days, I’m fast-forwarding my DVR, sighing that there’s no MUSIC in their music.

For me, it’s worse than that. I honestly keep thinking “Oh, come on–they’ve got to making fun of singers who can’t sing, lyrics that can’t hope to be understood, tunes that don’t come anywhere close to a melody” but no.

Yeah, the musical guest was the lamest I have ever seen. And I have seen some lame in the last 49 years.
