I normally don’t take the snow tires off until the end of April. Good thing - what started as a gentle snowfall yesterday has turned into a full-blown blizzard. Went out for an errand a few hours ago but you couldn’t tell from our car now - fully covered , no footprints visible, even snow coverage on the whole thing. Good thing we’re working from home. _Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!_ ❄ ❄ ❄ ---

Still trying to figure out when to bring the extension cord in. We’ve had some beautiful spring days, and we’ve had some awful winter days. It’s unlikely I’ll need the block heater, but still. ---

The OP fills me with a sense of foreboding. I took the snow tires off my car yesterday, and we can get snow at any point throughout April. Luckily, the lowest temperature forecast for the next two weeks is only 8. ---

Snowing in central Colorado mountains now. I don’t bother to take mine off, run them for two years and get another pair. There are only three months out of the year that I can be pretty confident there will be no snow. Though we have seen snow every month. ---

six inches of snow in two days. It’s a bit unusual for this time of year. However, waffles, bacon and hot choccie for the storm-stayed Piper household, so it’s not all bad. ---

Snow tires are also made from a very soft compound, so in a pinch, you can use them in your next road race and gain some extra grip on the cheap. But boy howdy, do they decay in a hurry if you’re driving with a bit of racing aggression, I tell you what. Bear that in mind when you’re making your pit strategy, eh? ---

We had a few cm Sunday night/Monday morning, but it was all gone by the afternoon. Swapped my tires today, actually. I’d been intending to last week, but never quite got to it and was quite glad of that Monday morning. ---

Swapped my car out this weekend past; SWMBO won’t let me touch her car until the first week of May at least. She’s probably the smart one as I slid into a curb after a last minute snow/ice storm around this time here three years ago and did nearly $1500 damage to my car Suspension and wheels aren’t cheap. ---
