The really funny part is when they act like their “words” smell like flowers, but other people’s words are farts. And even when a bunch of people tell them they are wrong, they still think they smell like flowers. ---

You know when my kids were 5 their _farts_ were adorable. Smelled like flowers. And their burps hilarious. Every joke was killer. And every picture a masterpiece. My adult kids farting in the house does not bother me at all. But they know better than to fart the same way in other social situations. My adult child drawing the same picture over and over again would worry me. (Unless they were that “Blue Dog” artist guy maybe …) I’d walk away from an adult at a party who relatively randomly said “Let’s go to the quarry and throw stuff down there!” probably even faster than someone who farted as often. I’d be very concerned if one of my adult children was that adult. A five year old at a kid’s party? Either could be okay depending on the crowd. Doing either with full knowledge that other kids were annoyed by it, and that those who thought it was funny mainly thought it was funny specifically because it annoyed some other kids? That being annoying to others had become the point of the “joke.” Not clearly with a condition like severe Tourette’s or an Autism Spectrum Disorder that explained why they did it? And the point was? ---

I’m not here much anymore to be bothered by anything, but I have a (polite, I hope) question for **Bo** … I sincerely enjoy your contributions to the board. The only thing I notice is that when you use your “quarry” phrase in a paragraph, it disrupts the rest of your meaning and context. For example, you’re answering a question about music. I’m reading along and appreciating what you have to say. Then I come across your “quarry” phrase and I have to shift several gears to get what’s going on. Now that’s not that difficult, considering, but the breakdown is thus: 1. What does that have to do with the topic? 2) Oh, right, [looks up at author) that’s **Bo**! Duh me. 3) Uh, it’s been a while since I’ve encountered that, what’s it mean again? 4) Ah, yes, LOL. Got it. 5) And now where was I at in my thought process / his answer / the topic at hand. 6) Proceed. Granted, that’s all within seconds, but it does kind of take you out of the flow of the thread / conversation. So, here’s my query to you… is it possible to just separate out your phrase by putting a line before and after? If it’s at the beginning of a paragraph, skip a line to start everything else. If in the middle, surround it. Like this: Cxhkgjvccvmvkkfhdnfjfj. “Let’s go to the quarry, etc!” Wvjvxjjvkbohjgljlhkvjlblhkbkbkvjvjcjvnkvjvjvkhkvkkhkhljlj. If that still won’t work for you, I understand. Just thought I’d suggest it as a potential work around that might make things a little easier for some of us that ain’t as young as we used to be. 🙂 Thanks for the consideration. ---

Umpteen articles about it and suicides attributed to it sure make it sound like it’s a well-recognized concept. And sure, it’s permitted here, but the fact that something is allowed doesn’t mean you should do it. Let’s say you noticed your 5-year-old had skipped brushing his teeth and had stinky breath. Telling him to go brush his teeth because he had stinky breath would not be bullying. You care about him and his dental health and social acceptance and your motivation is to protect his interest. What if his classmate is the one bothered by his stinky breath? The classmate telling him he needs to brush his teeth because his breath stinks is not bullying. But what if instead the classmate tells a few other kids and tries to get them in joining him in complaining about the problem? What if they try to get the entire class to join in harassing your kid about his breath, insisting they can’t sit next to them because he makes them want to puke, etc.? Is that still not bullying to you? Even if this joke is not funny, it has no victim. It doesn’t even have an implied victim. It isn’t making fun of anyone or any group and it isn’t mean-spirited. It is harmless, aside from irritating people who are excited to feel like part of a group effort to mock someone, aka bullies. ---

Hey everyone, I just figured out how to use Chrome’s “Word Replacer II” plug-in to completely get rid of Bo’s annoying catchphrase. I’m not entirely sure what I did, but now it works. Now, every time Snowboarder Bo writes “Let’s go down to the quarry and throw stuff down there”, _I_ see the words “Nothing to see here” 🙂 Problem solved! ---

What you’re apparently too “challenged” to understand is there’s nothing requiring a person to open the pit. Kids are required to go to school. They are physically present when they attend school. Now, if they decide to put on a football helmet and some shoulder pads, and try out for the team, they they need to realize that along with that activity comes some possibly unpleasant results. If they whine about being bullied because they got tackled, the rest of the team just laughs at them. When you connect dots, try, if possible, to stay on the same page pendejo. ---

It **was** kind of lame that it was just a semi-recycled version of someone _else’s_ prank, and that that was based on a not-particularly-funny sitcom joke, but hey, that happens, and it doesn’t necessarily disqualify a joke from being funny. **Actually following through on it** , however, is lame, annoying, and reeks of an unflattering desperation to be _the guy who started a board meme_. In as non-bullying a way I can muster, I sincerely advise you to stop doing it so you’ll be less of a dipshit. I only have your best interests in mind. I am being helpful, god damn it. ---
