Between reading this thread and the other one that got closed, I have to admit I had a thought about the quarry. I mean, it just sits there minding it’s own business and people like Bo just come along and throw stuff into it. I bet there’s an old now rusted tricycle in there. Imagine the stories that trike could tell if it could talk. And that old shopping cart? And how old is that quarry, anyway. Is it an active one, where they’re blasting or drilling chucks of it down or is it an old one with the bottom filled with greenish brown water? What could an old quarry have to tell us? Did they use stones from it for some great building or monument? Who were the first men to cut stone from it? When did it realize it was no longer a pit anymore and was becoming a quarry? How did it feel watching them haul away it’s stones, never to be seen anymore? \*Dere’s an ol’ man called de quarry Dat’s de ol’ man dat I’d like to be What does he care if de world’s got troubles What does he care if de land ain’t free Ol man quarry, that ol man quarry, He must know somethin’, but don’t say nothin’ He just gets stuff thrown in. The “let’s” Is clearly an attempt to incite a mob, there is ample reason to suspect that the “stuff” to be thrown may be contraband or worse, and what if one of us, or an innocent child playing with ABC blocks, happens to be in the quarry when unspecified and possibly dangerous materials are thrown carelessly into it? Leaving aside the moral and ethical concerns, from a purely practical standpoint do you want to put the board and its parent company at risk of costly legal action? I know that I personally wouldn’t want to be party to the negligent death of a child and potential ruin of this forum simply to allow one poster to repeat a nonsensical phrase for his own personal amusement. Maybe you and the other mods and admins should take some time and think it over, or consult with legal counsel. ---

But some of you aren’t just calling me names, you’re calling me names because you’re mad that I won’t do what you want. That’s bullying. Y’all can call me names all day long; I could care less about that. It’s when someone “asks” me to do something and then gets mad that I say no and begins trying to shame or humiliate or ostracize me in order to try and gain my compliance that it turns into bullying, and a bunch of people have done just that. See, that means it wasn’t a request, it was a demand. It’s what happened 3 years ago when people asked the Mods to force me to stop using my replacement phrase, it’s what the Pit thread 3 years ago was about, and it’s what happened here, too. ---
