That may have been the reason, but I don’t think it was a very good reason. The lesson I learned from Snuffleupagus was that something can still be real even if grown-ups don’t believe you, and that even if you think they won’t believe you, you should tell them anyway. ---

I don’t inderstand why the writers would create a character that was sexually abusing Big Bird for all these years. Seems odd. ---

I remember a really funny episode where one of the adults sees him, except that he’s in his pajamas which are black and white striped. He tells Big Bird he has seen Snuffleupagus! And describes him as black and white striped. And Big Bird just laughs… Great episode. ---

I vaguely remember being angry and frustrated about Snuff’s penchant for disappearing, as well the Chuck Wagon ghosting into the cabinet before the dog could catch it. And don’t get me started on the whole Road-Runner thing… ---

It also sucked because then poor Snuffy couldn’t participate in any activities in the neighborhood. Then he was FINALLY able to hang out with the rest of the gang.
