I could get used to a bathtub/shower in the kitchen or even a toilet in a bedroom (I guess that might come in handy at night
), but a toilet in the kitchen ick!
I’m glad to have this question answered finally. There is a bathtub in the kitchen in the movie “Married to the Mob.” When Michelle Pfieffer moves into this dive, her son asks, “why is there a bathtub in the kitchen?” and she, harried, answers, “I’ll tell ya later.” She never does. I’ve been waiting ever since!
It’s common in old unrenovated houses. I’ve lived in a couple, but not currently. Usually, the toilet and basin are tucked away in a tiny closet, and the bathtub is in the kitchen. One house I rented, the landlord covered the old kitchen tub with plywood and called it a “laundry folding area” , since it was next to the washer/dryer hookups.
I’m just thinking of the scene in 'Life As a House where he ‘encloses’ the toilet from the kitchen.
Nope, no bathtub in the kitchen. Here I thought it was unusual that my washer/dryer combo is in the bedroom closet. Live and learn.
