Wow… Thanks, guys! 🙂 Hamadryad, you’re no more surprised than I was. (Euty, you’re so cute! LOL) He’s probably never going to be a Doper. He’s read it a few times with me, but he’s far too busy to be any kind of active member. I’ll let him know you all welcome him, though. His family doesn’t know yet. I can’t pick up my rings until Thursday but, because of our schedules, I probably won’t get them until Saturday. Sunday we’re planning on visiting his family. My family knows. Well, my parents and siblings. None of my extended family has heard yet. They’re not really surprised, but they’re still thrilled. They kind of always knew we’d be together. I’ll probably visit my grandparents on Monday and they’ll tell my aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbors, the guy at the supermarket, the post office, their dentist, the gas station attendent… You get the idea. The good news is, I’m the first grandchild on my father’s side to get married, and my paternal grandparents are LOADED! Hooray for European Honeymoons! That probably won’t happen, but it’d be really cool if it did. Anyway, thanks for all the good thoughts and wishes and whatnot. The support, happiness and blessings of all of you have meant a lot to me over the last couple years and I certainly appreciate it. ---

Oh yeah, I was going to complain. So I went to get my rings today because I _assumed_ when they said “You can pick them up Thursday” it meant I could pick them up Thursday. So, today being Thursday, I went. _ **They never sent them out to be sized!!!** _ BITCHES!! Now I have to wait until Saturday. What if I was planning on flying out to Vegas on Saturday? What if my wedding was on Friday? What difference does it make though, because they said I could have them TODAY! So yeah, I’m angry. I think I’ll demand an extra two months interest free financing. Bastards. ---

**Silver Fire** , congratulations! I really feel for you about the ring thing. I had to pick up our wedding rings the day we were leaving town to get married because our stupid jewelry store did the same thing to me. They did half of what they said they would but didn’t send the rings out to be sized until I came in to pick them up. Then they were surprised when I was upset! Luckily they managed a “rush” job, at no extra cost of course, and we were able to have the rings for the ceremony. Needless to say, I have never gone back to that store. Stressing out the bride in the week before the ceremony is not a good way to get repeat business! Go and speak with a store manager and see if they can work something out for you. They do want to keep you happy, so that you will keep buying anniversary gifts, etc. from them. ---

No need, **herownself**. Sarah, the woman who sold me the rings, called me at work last night. She was confused as to why the package said “Pick up Saturday”, so she asked if I’d picked up my rings. I said no, I wasn’t able to because they were never sent out. She apologized (unlike the guy I’d talked to at the store Thursday) and said she’d talk to Shaft (I swear that’s his name). Turns out Shaft is the manager and the guy I’d talked to Thursday. She said she’d see if they could shave something off the price. I assumed I would get a 10% discount, which would actually be pocket change when you consider the cost of the rings. I told her no, the money wasn’t an issue, and besides, I wouldn’t “want you guys to lose any money from this”. So I told her to ask Shaft about extending my 6 month interest free financing to 8 or maybe even 9 months. She said she’d get back to me. Five minutes later she calls back. Unfortunately for me, this company (like most jewelery dealers) doesn’t have a 9 month plan. Unfortunately for Sarah, I already knew that. That’s why I asked for it. Turns out Shaft decided to give me a year interest free. So, rather than saving a couple hundred bucks, we’ll save $2000+. There was no way we’d pay those things off in 6 months. A year? Easily. BWAHAHAHAHA! So yeah, I’m pretty glad they fucked up now. 🙂 I’ll be there tomorrow morning at 9:25am waiting for them to open at 9:30. If my rings aren’t there, there will be no negotiations. I will be forced to choke someone out. ---
