I haven’t seen one of these threads in a while. My entry: **Zeta One:** Released in 1969. This was a low budget film. I honestly thought this was supposed to be a comedy. Turns out they were trying to be serious. This was basically a James Bond spoof with a ridiculous amount of top heavy women showing off their boobs any chance they get. The most LOL moment for me was when the bad [del]guy[/del] girls (who were actually space aliens) were chasing around the good guys. I guess their money must have ran out as they seemingly couldn’t afford to equip their actors with cheap ray guns. Instead, they literally made the gun shape with their fingers and shot! (pew, pew) ---

_Tank Girl_ for me. It’s cheesy as hell, but Lori Petty is so funny and camp as Tank Girl and I always watch it. ---

**10,000 BC** – even if you ignore the obvious scientific howlers, this movie is a mass of _non-sequiturs_ and ridiculous motivation. it doesn’t even make sense within its own universe. lots of oportunities for comments. Great CGI, though. **Doc Savage, Man of Bronze** This film is incredibly over-the-top camp, but George Pal (it was his last film, in 1975) thought he had created something good and worthwhile and straightforward. Making snide remarks is damned near irresistable. **Sahara** – The second attempt to bring Clive Cussler’s Dirk Pitt character to the screen (the first was _Raise the Titanic_, which is also wonderfully bad) will have you rolling your eyes. Matthew McConaghy tries earnestly to make this seem like a fun outing, but it’s incurably dumb. Two spoof movies which _aren’t_ bad are hilarious, and worth seeing: \*\* The Lost Skeleton of Cadavera\*\* and **The Lost Skeleton Returns Again** spoof cheap 1950s horror-shlock and slightly-later 1960s horror-sf schlock. Highly recommended. ---

I always thought that a pretty decent franchise could be managed with Doc Savage, with the steampunk fad that has been going on for a few years. Perhaps something for cable, the books themselves were what, 85 pages in reprint? That is [I seem to remember] roughly how much book to script a 90 minute movie tended to be. Of course that is IF the production company can be in control enough to have good screen adaptations, casting, sets/props and special effects. And if the cable company could NOT fuck it up by demanding stupid changes. They should not camp it up, internally Doc Savage took itself seriously. Not sure who I would cast for the main characters, but Pat Savage should never ever fucking be Angelina Jolie…and Brandan Frazer nor the Rock should not be Doc…I think a cast of unknowns would be pretty much the best. [And if Tim Burton and Johnny Depp come anywhere near the set, have an explosives accident and take them out.] ---

The movie was just… so… unbelievably… fracking… awful. I guess I have to throw in _Star Crash_. Or _Starcrash_. Beyond bad, but thoroughly entertaining on every pass. And _The Giant Claw_, of course. Not sure if _Big Trouble in Little China_ qualifies as bad, but it sure has its moments. LIke, the least believable investigative journalist in film history.
