I find it curious that anyone could be ignorant of the astronomical term. Black holes have figured in science fiction stories and movies, including the extremely crappy Disney flick \*\*The Black Hole \*\* [1979]\*, starring Maximillien Schell. Usually when scientific phenomena get extremely crappy Disney flicks named after them, they can be said to have graduated from the realm of esoteric scientific knowledge to that of common knowledge. - Which proved to be something of a career black hole for many involved, save composer John Barry, who managed to write a pretty decent orchestral score for it. ---

I would not start (or participate in a campaign). However. Well, an African-American woman who used to work for me objected when I said something was a black hole. She told me the black hole was under her desk. Yes, this really happened. ---
