But a chick in the car next door took a pic of me taking the first bite and posted it on social media. ---

So…I got out of the car to adjust her thinking. Turns out she was my cousin. ---

But she was one of the hated McCoy branches of my extended family, and not at all a “kissin’ cousin.” ---

So, long story short, that’s how we all made the news that day. ---
**Author:** ![Beckdawrek](https://sea3.discourse-cdn.com/straightdope/user_avatar/boards.straightdope.com/beckdawrek/32/3647_2.png) [@Beckdawrek](https://boards.straightdope.com/u/Beckdawrek)\ **Post date:** [January 14, 2020, 8:16am UTC](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/so-but/663656/366 "2020-01-14T08:16:50Z")
But…the huge corndogs were tasty. ---
**Author:** ![panache45](https://sea3.discourse-cdn.com/straightdope/user_avatar/boards.straightdope.com/panache45/32/64_2.png) [@panache45](https://boards.straightdope.com/u/panache45)\ **Post date:** [January 14, 2020, 10:23am UTC](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/so-but/663656/367 "2020-01-14T10:23:53Z")
So my sodium level went sky high, and my kidneys were screaming. ---
**Author:** ![Bumbershoot](https://sea3.discourse-cdn.com/straightdope/user_avatar/boards.straightdope.com/bumbershoot/32/3428_2.png) [@Bumbershoot](https://boards.straightdope.com/u/Bumbershoot)\ **Post date:** [January 14, 2020, 5:00pm UTC](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/so-but/663656/368 "2020-01-14T17:00:05Z")
But I didn’t care because _corndogs!_ ---

So after the corn dogs I ate corn muffins, corn flakes and candy corn ---

But we got out of there before the cops came for the disturbance me and my cousin were making. ---
**Author:** ![Elendil\_s\_Heir](https://avatars.discourse-cdn.com/v4/letter/e/7cd45c/32.png) [@Elendil\_s\_Heir](https://boards.straightdope.com/u/Elendil_s_Heir)\ **Post date:** [January 14, 2020, 5:43pm UTC](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/so-but/663656/371 "2020-01-14T17:43:10Z")
So with all that corn, you should have \*seen \*the poop I had that night at the motel out on Route 11 - hoo doggies! ---
**Author:** ![Beckdawrek](https://sea3.discourse-cdn.com/straightdope/user_avatar/boards.straightdope.com/beckdawrek/32/3647_2.png) [@Beckdawrek](https://boards.straightdope.com/u/Beckdawrek)\ **Post date:** [January 15, 2020, 7:06am UTC](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/so-but/663656/372 "2020-01-15T07:06:50Z")
But…that’s way TMI. And we ignored you. ---
**Author:** ![Elendil\_s\_Heir](https://avatars.discourse-cdn.com/v4/letter/e/7cd45c/32.png) [@Elendil\_s\_Heir](https://boards.straightdope.com/u/Elendil_s_Heir)\ **Post date:** [January 15, 2020, 3:20pm UTC](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/so-but/663656/373 "2020-01-15T15:20:37Z")
So anyway, after a long time in the bathroom, various shenanigans at the motel and a good night’s sleep, we were ready for more adventures the next day. ---
**Author:** ![panache45](https://sea3.discourse-cdn.com/straightdope/user_avatar/boards.straightdope.com/panache45/32/64_2.png) [@panache45](https://boards.straightdope.com/u/panache45)\ **Post date:** [January 15, 2020, 3:47pm UTC](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/so-but/663656/374 "2020-01-15T15:47:19Z")
But first we had to stop for more giant corndogs. ---
**Author:** ![Beckdawrek](https://sea3.discourse-cdn.com/straightdope/user_avatar/boards.straightdope.com/beckdawrek/32/3647_2.png) [@Beckdawrek](https://boards.straightdope.com/u/Beckdawrek)\ **Post date:** [January 15, 2020, 11:53pm UTC](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/so-but/663656/375 "2020-01-15T23:53:51Z")
So…we drove around looking for a Sonic. America’s Drive In!😌 ---
**Author:** ![panache45](https://sea3.discourse-cdn.com/straightdope/user_avatar/boards.straightdope.com/panache45/32/64_2.png) [@panache45](https://boards.straightdope.com/u/panache45)\ **Post date:** [January 16, 2020, 4:27am UTC](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/so-but/663656/376 "2020-01-16T04:27:11Z")
But all we found was a supermarket that sold frozen corndogs. ---
**Author:** ![Beckdawrek](https://sea3.discourse-cdn.com/straightdope/user_avatar/boards.straightdope.com/beckdawrek/32/3647_2.png) [@Beckdawrek](https://boards.straightdope.com/u/Beckdawrek)\ **Post date:** [January 17, 2020, 6:07am UTC](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/so-but/663656/377 "2020-01-17T06:07:02Z")
So…we bought them, avacados and icecream sammiches ---
**Author:** ![panache45](https://sea3.discourse-cdn.com/straightdope/user_avatar/boards.straightdope.com/panache45/32/64_2.png) [@panache45](https://boards.straightdope.com/u/panache45)\ **Post date:** [January 17, 2020, 10:05am UTC](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/so-but/663656/378 "2020-01-17T10:05:26Z")
But in our haste, we accidentally microwaved the icecream sammiches instead of the corndogs. ---
**Author:** ![Cardigan](https://sea3.discourse-cdn.com/straightdope/user_avatar/boards.straightdope.com/cardigan/32/187_2.png) [@Cardigan](https://boards.straightdope.com/u/Cardigan)\ **Post date:** [January 17, 2020, 2:55pm UTC](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/so-but/663656/379 "2020-01-17T14:55:39Z")
So we broke our teeth biting down on the still frozen corndogs. ---

But fortunately we had some melted ice cream to sooth our sore gums. [Previous page](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/so-but/663656.md?page=18) [Next page](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/so-but/663656.md?page=20)
