In my defense re the title of the thread, I thought long and hard on how I could make it more sensitive…and realized that there was none at least none within my abilities. Please accept my apologies and accept that I am a neanderthal. So, we have heard straight people say that they would “turn gay” for someone (usually a celebrity). I have had one lesbian friend of mine tell me that she would “get fixed” (her words not mine, honest!) for Johnny Depp. (no taste that one). So is there anyone who would do the same for you. Not necessarily a celebrity. So Gay, Lesbian, would turn straight for…? ---

I think that few people are actually 100% straight or 100% gay. It’s mostly degrees so I think the question is legit. I am a gay male that falls into that minority that is not sexually attracted at all to any woman. Most gay men I know have had sex with a woman. Virtually every lesbian I’ve known has had sex with a man, most got married to a man at one point. I will say being gay was hard for me in the 80s. It’s much different today. In the 80s I was a leper, 'cause back then gay=AIDS. But still I would never “turn” straight for anyone. But I think most gay people (men and women) could do it. I think most people are not exclusively hetero or homosexual. I know I am but I believe I am a minority. (Just my bias) That said, I can appreciate a beautiful woman. I think Grace Kelly is stunning. I remember working in a hotel and seeing [Chelsea Noble](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chelsea_Noble) and I almost fell over thinking “Wow is that a beautiful woman” But I never wanted to have sex with them, though I could appreciate their beauty ---

None I can think of. There’s plenty of women I think of as beautiful but the idea of having sex with them is very…unsexy. ---

As a one time thing? Lots of women. I can appreciate the beauty of a woman and there are some where it goes beyond appreciation into genuine physical attraction. If someone is attractive to me and interested, I’ll probably go for it. As a lifetime thing? None that I know of. It’s possible I could find a woman I actually wanted to spend my life with, but fairly unlikely. The closest thing to a crush I ever felt toward someone female bodied was with someone who didn’t really identify as a woman anyway. In some article I was reading about Johnny Weir, he mentioned that while he was exclusively attracted to men he could imagine falling in love with a woman and marrying her, because sex and love aren’t the same thing. I’d agree with that, though for me I’m (so far at least) entirely “love” oriented toward other men, even if I might be somewhat sexually flexible. ---

Sofia Vergara, Madonna, young Dolly Parton (and, if I’m honest, old Dolly Parton), Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Beyoncé, Cher (if not now then at least until the ‘Save Up All Your Tears’ video), Kate Bush. Am I actually sexually attracted to these women, though, or am I just attracted to their work (which I love) and also enthusiastically recognise their extreme hotness? That is the question. I think maybe a better question would be “If you were straight, what kind of women do you think you’d go for?” because right now, although I appreciate that Sofia Vergara looks great in her bikini, the thought of actually having sex with her is still weird. ---
