**MAASTRICHT** – Thanks for asking. Looking back now I think I was just down a bit. I did run a marathon (part of the mediocrity feelings I think were because I stopped training for it, and I paid for it with blisters) and I found out that I will be able to graduate at the end of this semester (undergrad). So things are looking up. Sometimes I feel a little not up to the challenge, but not nearly as often. Thanks again for asking. ---

If you don’t mind sharing, what happened? It was one of those strange amicable divorces. We still own our house together and we have joint custody of our young daughters. I usually have them 4+ days a week. I even spend major holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas with her and her family. They don’t seem to treat me any differently and I see my ex most days. I just really did not like being married and I don’t think I would do it again. She has a lot of traits in the high-maintenance female thread and, not to be sexist, but she didn’t defer (or compromise) with me at all whether it was vacation plans or finances. The burdens of marriage were destroying us both. The only thing I was really scared of was having quality time with my daughters decreased but once I found out that it would actually increase after the divorce, I was all over that. I can’t say I was upset after the 3 minute hearing before a judge. ---

We took in a stray puppy not to long ago, but gave her to another family. It was too much, even for animal lovers like us.
