Somehow, with 16 friends on [Friendster](http://www.friendster.com), I’ve ended up with a personal network of: 735,190 people. (I know, it’s not a contest and someone will shortly be along who has many more connections. It just surprises me that my connections have gotten that high.) ---

5 friends, 264,652 people in my network. I wonder if we could get enough data to plot the relationship between friend number and network size. 🙂 ---

I dunno about that, but here are my BuddyZoo stats (kinda like Friendster but for AIM users): Popularity ranking: 5975 (percentile: 99.927). BuddyRank score: 2.93 BuddyRank ranking: 2324 BuddyRank is a measure of a person’s importance, computed in the same manner that Google uses PageRank to measure webpage importance. BuddyRank is only computed for members who have submitted their Buddy List, and is updated daily. Go me! ---

IIRC, I became disillusioned when I found that many of the “contacts” are just cities. For instance, someone links to “City of Columbus” which has 100,000 “friends”. Then they link to you and you shoot from 1 contact to 100,001. To me, it wasn’t an accurate listing of “buddies”. ---
