Today is the day. As of today I am 26. I am now nearer 30 than 20. I am officially an old man, over the hill etc. Life is now sucks. And how the hell did I get so old!:(😃 ---

I turn 40 in 5 months, and my life rocks more now than it did at your age. All my friends are 40+, and we can still hang till last call(just the joints and the liver hurt a bit more now after a night out).😛 Happy Birthday! ---

Congratulations! I’m 67 and pretty much still do the things I want to do, often to the dismay of my peers…I just haven’t figured out how my young brain got into this old man body. Don’t worry about getting older, and enjoy the trip! ---

You think _you_ have it bad? I turn 30 in exactly six months! /still don’t feel like an “adult” //Though I was at a HS charity event tonight and the high school kids looked positively child-like. Even college kids are beginning to seem impossibly young. ///Get off my lawn! ---

The secret to growing old is to start practicing for it while you’re still young. For example, people don’t think that medication management is a skill. Au contrare. Just like the violin or piano, you need to start as young as possible. For the very young, jelly beans can be a good substitute for sugar pills. ---

Congratulations - you’ll soon be at the good times. No way would I want to be in my 20s or 30s again. But it is impossible to explain to young people (like you) the benefits of being older. Stop worrying about it, start enjoying the journey. ---

With all due respect, this attitude is a little patronizing. Why is it impossible to explain? Unless it has something to do with quantum mechanics, I don’t see why it’s so hard to say, “Yeah, I’m happier than I used to be at that age and I get senior discount coffee at McDonalds.” ---
