I never use my iPod nano–it has nine songs on it. I don’t own any headphones, oh, I mean ear buds, for it. I, too, hear lots of 80s music, including Stones, as Muzak. I always wonder what people my parent’s age think of “Satisfaction” as a string instrumental… ---

Once upon a time the timing on gasoline engines was adjusted not by computer, but by loosening a screw on the distributor and rotating it whilst looking at the timing mark on the fly wheel using a strobe light synchronized to the number one cylinder! I did this. And I did this with both legs hanging inside the engine compartment, since there was a preponderance of space in there at the time. Hello: My name is Leaffan, and I am a fogey. ---
